Abstract

At an address at the Temperance Congress at Birmingham, Mrs. Barrow outlined how it was not primeraly the men who drank, who suffered from the effects of this behaviour, but their families, who lacked the money spent by their husbands on alcohol. Her address was followed by other female presenters.
