Abstract

1) Women's Medical College, Toronto: "There was a large gathering at the opening of the Session when Dr. Alice McLaughlin lectured on 'Why should Women Enter the Medical Profession.'" 2) New South Wales - Women's Work in Maitland: "Missionary work on behalf of the Chinese has been initiated among the ladies of Maitland by Mrs. Weatherill, who came over from Newcastle to address a meeting. At the close of a ladies' meeting, presided over by Mrs. J. Lamont, a committee was formed and the work arranged."
