Abstract

At the ladies-only annual meeting of the Rational Dress Society at Westminster Town Hall, presided over by Viscountess Harberton, several addresses were read. After an account of the previous year's work, Lady Harberton, in "an interesting address, adverted to the growing discontent among women about their dress as a satisfactory sign." After that Miss Herman Crawford expressed her venereation for Lady Haberton's achievements with regard to the aims of the society, before once again emphasising the importance of a reformation of women's clothing towards a more rational fashion. Finally Mrs. Stopes read a philosophical paper on the question of the interconnectedness of clothing and psychology, before the meeting was rounded off with a lively discussion.
