Abstract

On the occasion of a meeting of the Women's Liberal Unionist Association, whose object was the creation of a branch of the society in the Tavistock Division, "Mrs. Fisher moved 'That a branch of the W.L.U.A. be formed to act in conjunction with the Three Towns Association.' She eloquently urged that the introduction of women into political life would elevate the moral tone of the electorate." Lady Lymington, speaking about the general workings and methods of these associations, seconded Mrs. Fisher's motion.
