Abstract

"She has found a wide field for her labour of love, and her efforts have, under the Divine blessing, met with signal success. A weekly meeting for prayer and biblical instruction is held in a spacious and well-lighted room, rented for the purpose by Bishop Thomas. Here the worthless and wretched of both sexes assemble in considerable numbers, the seats being generally filled to the door. The religious services are conducted by the lady herself." [p.520]
