Abstract

A deputation of women paid a visit to Lord Granville at his London residence, to urge him to support a bill granting women the right to serve as County Councillors. Mrs. Mallet, Lady Sandhurst and Mrs. Maitland all pointed out the benefits of having women serving as members of the County Council. Lord Granville then replied, ensuring them of his support.
