1) Edinburgh Hospital for Women and Children: The Marchioness of Tweeddale opens a bazaar in support of the Grove Street Hospital. 2) Association of Irish Schoolmistresses: Miss J. Little reads "a paper of much interest on the 'Teaching of Modern Languages'" at a general meeting of the Association. 3) Women's Liberal Unionist Association: Lilias Ashworth Hallett "in a few short powerful sentences raised the meeting [of the Association] to enthusiasm in favour of the suffrage, and then proceeded to the subject of the day." Mrs. Ashford also speaks.
