Abstract

Sophia Jex-Blake gives a paper "on the medical education of women." She, Mrs. Grey, and Miss Carpenter also participate in a "long and animated discussion." "A paper by Miss Florence Nightingale, on sanitary conditions in India, was ocntributed to the health department. Lord Napier and Ettrick presided at a meeting at which Miss Carpenter and other speakers explained and advocated the objects of the National Indian Association."
