Abstract
Faithfull recounts how she has "lectured in the principal philosophical and literary institutes [in England] and in America on every kind of subject, literary, social, and political," and that she "was the first to attempt [lecturing] in England. Mrs. Inglis had lectured on literary subjects, but no one interested in the woman's movement had ventured on giving public address until after I had broken the ice by a lecture [on] 'The Claim of Women.'"
