1) "The Conference of the Ladies's Auxiliary of the Midland Union of Conservative Associations at Hereford in August was addressed by Mrs. Fawcett." 2) Political Associations - Midland Union of Conservative Associations: At a "largely attended meeting of the Ladies' Auxiliary" under the presidency of the Marchioness of Hertford, "Mrs. Pender first gave an address on the 'Primrose League and its Duties,' after which an address was given by Mrs. Fawcett on 'Home and Politics.'" The latter is reproduced extensively. A subsequent discussion is also printed. 3) Midland Counties Women's Liberal Associations - Conference at Nottingham: Mrs. Bateson speaks on prejudice against female suffrage. Her opening address is reproduced at some lenght. Remarks by Miss Wright are paraphrased as well, and two further speakers mentioned.
