1) Miss Burton's Reply: Mentions an occasion where she "publicly thanked the Dames for what they had done for the Women's Franchise" and recalls how "Lady Aberdeen stood on the platform in Edinburgh [...] and gave her political address to women," as well as another address by her that proved "that women can speak on political questions." Female speakers moreover no longer require prompting to make public appearances and are almost too numerous. 2) Leeds Women's Suffrage Society: Several women speak at a conference held by the Society. A resolution moved by Miss Whiting is quoted, and a speech by Mrs. Ashford paraphrased.
