Abstract

Wentworth: At a tea and entertainment meeting at the Conservative Club, Barnsley, held on the occasion of Miss Wentworth's marriage, Miss Mary Wentworth opened the proceedings with a "long valedictory speech." Mrs. Mitchell, on behalf of all the members, then wished Miss Wentworth well for her marriage, and presented to her a diamond and saphire bracelet, for which Miss Wentworth expressed her sincere gratitude.
