1) Women's Suffrage - Scotland: Report on the annual meeting of the Edinburgh National Society for Women's Suffrage, at which several women speak. Isabella Tod's address is summarised, as is a comment by Mrs. Masson. At a drawing-room meeting, "Miss Ella Burton read a paper on 'Woman's Sphere.'" Ireland: Mrs. Parker reads a paper at a drawing-room meeting, and a second woman is named as participant in the subsequent discussion. 2) Banquet to Miss Helen Taylor: Taylor speaks at a banquet held in her honour. Her speech on children's education and women's rights is reproduced in full. 3) British Women's Temperance Association: At the Society's inaugural meeting, Mrs. Scholefield and Mrs. Lucas speak repeatedly, and other women are also mentioned. 4) The National Health Society: Mentions lectures "on special subjects of personal hygiene and laws of health [that] had been delivered to the educated classes," by female and male speakers.
