1) Women as County Councillors: At a "meeting of influential character," Lady Sandhurst and Jane Cobden speak. 2) The Registration of Midwives: A deputation of women pleads the case for the registration of midwives to the Lord President of the Council. The speeches of three women are paraphrased, and two further female speakers are mentioned. 3) Women's Work in the Black Country: At "a crowded public meeting" on female labour, Miss Heather Bigg speaks. her address is briefly summarised and a resolution moved by her is quoted. 4) Technical Education in Shropshire: "By far the largest and most influential meeting of ladies ever convened in Shrewsbury Shirehall was that held there on February 7th, under the presidency of Mr. A. Salwey." Miss Calder delivers the opening address, which is paraphrased at length. Two more women's contributions to the discussion are reproduced. 5) The Moral Reform Union: At a "Conference of friends and supporters of the Ladies' National Association [a] paper was read at the morning sitting on the moral responsibilities of women in public life, by Mrs. Hugh Price-Hughes, and another by Mrs. Morgan Brown on teaching moral questions to the young. Each was followed by discussion, in which a number of ladies took part."
