1) Conference of the Midland Union of Women's Liberal Association: Mrs. Bayley, the chairwoman, gave the opening address in which she spoke about the necessity of unity in the organisation. Miss Slack delivered an address in favour of women sitting as County Councillors. Mrs. Gilzean Reid gave an address in which she described the organisational structure of the Women's Liberal Association and commented on the Association's enormous social, moral, and intellectual power. Miss Gittens gave a speech about female enfranchisement. Speeches by Mrs. Cowen, Mrs. Cobb, Miss Simpson, Miss Slack, Mrs. Osler, Miss Slater, Mrs. Bayley, and others followed. Miss Pegg read a paper on the "Industrial Position of Women." Miss Slater read a paper on the "Nut and Bolt Trade." 2) Women's Liberal Association, Reigate Division: At a meeting of the Association, Mrs. A. J. Crosfield delivered a speech on the subject of "Technical Education." A course of monthly lectures on Women's Suffrage was announced, with Mrs. Charles McLaren as a lecturer. 3) Meeting of the Wimbledon Women's Liberal and Radical Association: Mrs. Morgan Thomas took the chair at the meeting and delivered a speech about female enfranchisement. She said it was absurd that women were allowed to vote at municipal elections, but not in parliamentary ones. Mrs. Beatty gave an address on Ireland. 4) North Islington Women's Liberal Association: At the annual meeting of the Association, Leonora Wynford Phillips delivered a speech on "Women and Work." 5) The Ladies of Liverpool and Manchester: Mrs. Sherbrooke, Poor Law Guardian for the Irish Union, addressed a meeting of the Workers' Union, Liverpool. She spoke on "Women's Work as Poor Law Guardians."
