Abstract

1) Married Women's Property Bill: At a meeting of supporters of the bill, several women participate in the discussion. An appeal made by Mrs. Jacob Bright "in presenting her report" is reproduced. 2) Education: "The list of lectures to ladies at Cambridge this term includes those of one lady, Miss Crofts, the subject being 'English History.'" Continues to list lectures by male speakers. 3) Working Women's Unions - Cigar Makers' Union: Three women speak at a meeting. 4) Rights and Duties of Women in Local Government: Lydia Becker reads a paper at the Women's Suffrage Conference at Clifton. Includes a reprint of a paraphrased version of her paper.
