Abstract

The contributions of Miss Downing, Lydia Becker, Miss Davenport Hill, and others to various discussions are mentioned or briefly reproduced. Caroline Biggs's paper on "Girls' Public Day Schools," and Miss Sharman Crawford's on "the 'need of legislative action to improve the homes of the poor,'" are briefly paraphrased. Becker's paper on women's suffrage is reproduced at length.
