1) Morpeth: At a meeting of the Morpeth Women's Liberal Association, Lady Trevelyan presided and spoke the opening remarks. She expressed her joy at the success of the Association, but she also mentioned that there was work to be done yet. Mrs. James Joicey urged the audience not to forget the primary object of the Association -"to educate women in political principles." 2) Wales: At a Liberal meeting in Llanelly, Leonora Wynford Philipps delivered an address in which she urged women to be politically active.
