Abstract

At a meeting of the Bristol Women's Liberal Club, Mrs. J.H. Perry spoke the opening remarks in which she mentioned the old age pension scheme and its arbitrary distinction between men and women. Mrs. C. Clark said a petition should be presented to the House of Commons in order to discourage the opium trade. Miss Evans also spoke about the opium trade. Mrs. Martin spoke in favour of female enfranchisment.
