At a meeting of the Women's Liberal Federation, Lady Aberdeen gave an address on women's suffrage and a number of issues related to it. She said she was definitely in favour of female enfranchisement, but it had to wait until some other problems the Liberal Party was concerned with (such as Home Rule for Ireland) had been resolved. Lady Carlisle gave an address in favour of women's suffrage. She said women already had some influence, for example on school boards and parochial boards. She also described the progress of the Women's Liberal Federation.
