Abstract

1) Miss Thompson and Mrs Wigley have been appointed lecturers to the London School Board. 2) Lady Henry Somerset will address several conferences. 3) Mrs. Jacob Bright read a paper on "English Wives and Mothers and some Laws affecting their Interests." 4) At a meeting of the Cheshire Women's Temperance Association, Miss Balgarnie gave an address on "The need for matrons in our police stations." Miss Helen Hood read a paper on "Scientific teaching in Board Schools."
