Abstract
In a letter to 'Charlie', 'Arry describes (in a polemic manner) his experience of attending a public meeting where three women presented their arguments for an extension of Woman's Rights: "Then the birds on the fence fluttered down one by one, and each cackled her bit. I am not nuts on argyment,-fogs me. They spun it off slick, I admit [...]. Didn't understand 'arf wot they said, but of course it was all blooming rot."
