Abstract

"A well-attended meeting of the Paddington Women's Liberal Association was held at 58, Porchester Terrace [...] to hear addresses from Dr Elizabeth Blackwell and Miss Geoff on the subject of 'Scientific Research in the Animal World.'" The meeting was presided over and introduced by Miss Browne. Eventually, "Mrs. Charles Mallet gave some heartrending details of the treatment of dogs in the laboratory of Dr. Charles Richet to illustrate the effects of massage."
