1) Bridgewater: At a social meeting at Northgate Hall, Miss Thompson read from the Woman's Herald "an interesting 'Retrospect of Women's Work in 1892.'" Afterwards Miss Edith Marriage read a practical and interesting paper on the "Duties of Women." 2) Congresbury: At a public meeting of the Welsh division at the National schoolroom, speeches were made by Mrs. Charles Spencer and Miss Bradley. 3) East Islington: In the second part of a course of lectures, Mrs. Amie Hicks spoke on "Factory Life," illustrating the need for female factory inspectors. 4) Hornsey: "A successful drawing-room meeting was held by kind permission of Mrs. Ramsay Wilson, at the Gables, Woodside Park, [...] when a stirring address was delivered by Mrs. Bamford Slack, on 'Liberal Women as a Political Force.'" 5) Lanarkshire: At a monthly meeting, "Mrs. Lindsay spoke on the desirability of having women as factory inspectors, and a resolution, to be forwarded to the Home Secretary, was passed [...]. Mrs. Herkless [...] gave her usual account of the political situation and outlook." 6) Morpeth and Wansbeck: "Miss Friend delivered an interesting address on Women's Franchise, and a resolution in favour of Woman Suffrage was unanimously carried" at a "successful gathering." 7) Spalding: At a well attended public meeting, Countess Alice Kearney spoke about the "Liberal programme." Mrs. Barton also addressed the audience. 8) Stonehouse: At the division's first annual tea meeting, the chairwoman, Mrs. J.C. Kimmins opened the proceedings with a few remarks on political matters ind the importance of women guardians. 9) Thornbury: At a meeting to inaugurate the new W.L.A. branch, Lady Rachel Howard opened the meeting with a few remarks, highlighting the corruptive influence of the Primrose League. The same topic was taken up in a speech by Miss Garland. Other speakers included Miss Priestman and Mrs. Ralph.
