Abstract

1) Meeting at Hornsey-Rise: Mrs. Stopes opens the public discussion and gives "a very interesting speech," which the article summarises. 2) Forthcoming Meetings: "Mrs. Morgan Browne will address the Caerleon Habitation of the Primrose League." 3) Argued Before the Legislature: "Senator Millner, blushing like a school-boy, behind a big yellow rose, gallantly resigned the speaker's desk to the lady speakers, and hid himself in the audience on the floor, which was large, and almost entirely filled with ladies." Mentions a "characterstic" address by Isabella Beecher Hooker, and quotes from and paraphrases a "sparkling and cultured address" by Mrs. Fessendon, whose physical features are briefly described.
