Abstract

1) Announcement for the annual meeting of the Central National Society for Women's Suffrage at the Banqueting Saloon of the St. James's Restaurant. 2) At a reception of the Boston Suffrage Association to Suffragists, Laura Ormiston Chant delivered "a pleasant, breezy address," praising the women of England for returning Gladstone to Parliament. 3) At an entertainment of this society at the Queen's Gate Hall, a series of tableaux vivants, organised by Mrs. Massingberd and Mr. Pole, were enacted, all showing scenes from Dante Gabriel Rossetti's "King's Tragedy." In between the tableaux, musical entertainments and recitations of the poem were interspersed.
