1) Carlisle: At a social meeting held at the Viaduct Lecture Hall, Carlisle, Miss Palmer, Miss Rimington, and Mrs. John Sewell delivered excellent reports of the W.L.F. meetings. 2) Portsmouth: Mrs. Ward (Vice president of the group) delivered a paper on the Direct Veto Bill at an Association meeting, which was presided over by Mrs. T. Good. 3) Tunbridge Wells: Miss Crompton Jones delivered a detailed report of the Federation meetings at a "well-attended social evening." Her report "was listened to with great interest, the Temperance Question and Women's Suffrage eliciting the most enthusiasm."
