1) London School Board: "Mrs. Westlake addressed an audience of ladies in the Somerville Club on November 7th. On November 2nd, Mrs. Fenwick Miller gave an address on 'The Work of Women in connectin with the School Board: Women as Members: Women as Teachers.' [...] The chair was taken by Mrs. G. Linnaeus Banks." 2) Suffrage: At a demonstration for women's suffrage in Glasgow, Miss Wigan leads the attendees in prayer and Mrs. McLaren speaks. Her speech is reproduced at length. Several other women are mentioned to give addresses at subsequent meetings. England: "In the West a meeting has been held at Bidgewater, and Miss Blackburn has given lectures at Liskeard and Dartmouth." 3) Municipal Election, England: "In Manchester Miss Becker addressed three Ward Meetings of women electors."
