Extensive report on a series of temperance meetings in West England and Wales. A section of one of Lady Henry Somerset's addresses is included, and further speeches by her and other women are mentioned. The introductory paragraph ends by stating that "[i]n every instance great crowds came out to witness the new crusade, and if some listened to the women speakers with critical ears, or compared their oratory with that of leaders of thought in the other sex, these were few and far between."
