Abstract

1) "Mrs. Ormiston Chant is once again at home, after having had a very successful and enjoyable tour in the States. Her lectures have been extraordinarily successful, and in her farewell discourse she had many nice things to say of America." 2) "Mrs. Joseph Lucas, formerly one of England's chief speakers for Temperance, but now laid aside on account of ill-health, has written out her lectures on Marriage and Heredity, and they will be issued in an attractive little book, in time for the holidays." 3) Miss Conybeare is mentioned to have given a lecture on "English Politics and Social Questions" at the invitation of the President and Dean of the Woman's College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, during her American Tour. In her address she urged the young women to organise a movement similar to the British Women's Liberal Federation, in order to bring forward and promote good men in politics, instead of the present leaders.
