Account of a number of addresses that were delivered as part of the bi-monthly meeting of the National Executive of the British Women's Temperance Association. Lady Henry Somerset addressed meetings at Durham, Sunderland, and Newcastle-on-Tyne. Other speakers, both at the Durham meeting as well as at various local public meetings, included Miss Lees, Mrs. McKinnon, Mrs. Aukland, Mrs. Stewart, and Mrs. Walker. Miss Gorham, Miss Balgarnie, and Mrs. Pearsall-Smith also took part in a drawing-room meeting, and an afternoon conference at Sunderland.
