Abstract

1) Mrs. Maitland, Miss Florence Balgarnie, Miss Cons, and other executive members spoke as part of a deputation to the School Board, representing all the women of the Women's Federation. Miss Balgarnie's speech is characterised as 'a most lucid and powerful exposition.' 2) Mrs. Stürken's training programme for young ladies in all areas of house-keeping is advertised for. 3) The speaking engagements of Mrs. Amanda Smith under the auspices of the British Women's Temperance Association are mentioned.
