Abstract

1) Report on "a most successful lecture" on "Phases of Nervous Prostration" by Dr. Muriel Maitland, given at the Royal Institution at Liverpool to a female audience. 2) "The Duchess of Sutherland [...] has evinced a decided capacity for supporting her opinions on the platform. [...] On the other hand, she is a beauty of the Court, and her movements, dresses, and tastes are watched by thousands of her own sex."
