Abstract
1) Includes a paragraph on the annual Conference of the British Temperance League, at which "Miss Conybeare gave an interesting address on 'Scientific Instruction in Schools,' with reference to the Temperance Question." Her speech is briefly paraphrased. 2) "Lady Henry Somerset is advertised to give a temperance address in the large Town Hall, Reading."
