1) Mrs. Pearsall Smith is announced to partake in a communal prayer meeting at St. Martin's Town Hall, Charing Cross. 2) The speaking faculties of Mrs. J.K. Barney of Rhode Island are lauded, as well as lecturing engagements on a variety of subjects advertised. 3) At the first public meeting of the British Women of Oldham in connection with the Social Questions Union at the local Town Hall, several addresses were delivered by women, among them Mrs. Ward Poole. Subjects included female suffrage. 4) Mrs. Brown addressed the annual tea and social gathering for members and friends of the Manchester Women's C.T.A. and Poliece-Court Mission on the issue of female abstinence. 5) Mrs. Aukland delivered an address at a drawing-room meeting at Mrs. Halls, speaking about the necessity of continuous support of the Inebriate Home for Women. 6) At a drawing-room meeting of the Muswell Hill et. al. associations, Mrs Lamb lectured on "The Wines of the Bible." 7) At a drawing room meeting hosted by Miss Muller at Tudor House, Clapton, Dr. Mary Hall Williams 'gave a most interesting and instructive address on the action of alcohol upon the brain and nerves.' 8) Miss Manby gave an address at the monthly meeting of the Slade Mission Hall branch. 9) Mrs. F. Boult gave a lecture on "Diet and Temperance" in the Lecture Hall of the Upper Holloway Baptist Chapel.
