At a series of meeting held in Leeds as part of the Conference of the National Executive Committee of the B.W.T.A., several women addressed the audiences, most notably Lady Henry Somerset, whose speech is paraphrased at length. Other addresses and lectures, such as a "School of Methods and Parliamentary Drill", conducted by Mrs. Pearsall-Smith and assisted by Mrs. Bamford Slack, Mrs. Ward Poole, and others, followed. In the evening, further addresses by Mrs. Bamford Slack and Lady Henry Somerset followed.
