Abstract

Gives the proceedings of the annual council meeting of the British Women's Temperance Association. Apart from several serrmons on temperance, which were delivered from numerous pulpits by women, several ladies addressed the meeting and moved resolutions. Prominent speakers included Lady Henry Somerset, who delivered the Presidential Address, Miss Florence Balgarnie, Mrs. Pearsall Smith, and Mrs. Eva McLaren.
