Abstract
1) Mrs. Wynford Philipps's speaking engagements for the Liberal cause are mentioned. It is said that she "[...] is a charming platform speaker, and is described by a Unionist contemporary as the most brilliant feminine orator in the country [...]." 2) At a 'social conference', which formed part of the 13th annual congress of India, 'a young Mahratta lady from Napore' addressed the conference urging for better female education.
