Abstract

Report of an incident where Lady Henry Somerset and Miss Willard were dis-invited from a temperance mass meeting near London, held in connection with the Wesleyan District Synod, after having first been asked to deliver an address, as the President of the Wesleyan General Conference in England deemed it inproper for women to speak publicly. Lady Henry Somerset's outrage, which she voived in another seech, is also reported on in favourable terms.
