Abstract

1) Protection of Girls: Isabella Tod's speech at a conference of the National Vigilance Association is reproduced in paraphrase, and it is mentioned that further women including Florence Fenwick Miller speak to a resolution. The article also reports on a demonstration in Hyde Park, at which there is a "ladies' platform." Margaret Bright Lucas, Florence Fenwick Miller, and other women speak on the platform, and Alice Scatcherd, Eva Müller, and Laura Ormiston chant speak on other platforms. 2) National Eisteddfod, Aberdare: Mrs. Bryant reads a paper on "University Local Examinations in Wales" at a meeting of the Eisteddfod. The paper is summarised.
