1) Suffrage Demonstration at Portmouth: Laura Ormiston Chant gave an address at the meeting in Portsmouth. She spoke about women's suffrage and different issues connected to that subject such as equal rights between the sexes. Miss Whitling also spoke a few words about female suffrage, stating that "if the House of Commons went on shelving the question of Women's Suffrage she would begin to think that Parliament was afraid of them." 2) Women's Suffrage at Cardiff: Lady Aberdare spoke the opening remarks at a women's suffrage meeting in Cardiff. The Hon. Mrs. Arthur Pelham addressed the meeting. She spoke about the upcoming general election and the importance of liberal thinking, but she also mentioned that the Cardiff branch of the Women's Liberal Association had not done as well as it could have because many Cardiff liberals did not (yet) believe in women's suffrage.
