Abstract

Report on the massively attended reception at Exeter Hall, which begins by emphasising the historical significance of "the fact that it was a woman who had called the meeting to do honour to another woman." Reproduces at length the speeches of Lady Henry Somerset, Miss Soonderbai Powar, Laura Ormiston Chant, Mrs. Hicks, and Frances Willard.
