Abstract

Mentions a Kaffir woman speaking after a meeting held by Mrs. Elizabeth Wheeler and Dr. Kate Bushnell on one of their tours to South Africa. It was remarkable because never before had one of the indigenous women spoken publicly, and although the pastor appeared to be embarassed by this gesture, the two women encouraged the native lady to speak.
