Includes the author's recollection of a music-hall meeting on "house-rent," at which "Louise Michel manifestations" appear on the platform, and "a remarkably beautiful young lady, arrayed in a scarlet scarf thrown transversely across her bust, and a cap of liberty on her head, [recites] a tirade against marriage."
