Abstract

"A most successful and inspiring gathering of the Executive [of the N.B.W.T.A.] took place in Chester [...]. It was the usual quarterly Executive meeting, but was held in connection with the celebration of the fourteenth anniversary of the Chester branch [...]." Part of the proceedings was the preeching of sermons in several Nonconformist places all over Britain by Mrs. Pearsall Smith, Miss Agnes Slack, Mrs. Emmett and others. At the meeting, Miss Agnes Weston delivered an address, and Mrs. Pearsall Smith gave a Bible reading. Other famous speakers, who addressed the meeting in the course of the proceedings, included Lady Henry Somerset and Mrs. Tomkinson.
