Paraphrased excerpts from two addresses given at a meeting of the Guild. The Mayoress of Southport speaks on public action as an argument against women's suffrage, and gives examples to counter this. Millicent Fawcett quotes several men who support women's suffrage, and a letter from a female friend who remarks on the absurdity of gender as a determinant for suffrage by reference to her debauched male tenant living on an allowance and herself earning her own living.
