Polwhele takes the chair at an entertainment and speaks on "the great power which the Primrose League now represented." 3) Deeside Habitation: Mentions that the Ruling Councillor Sir Arthur Farquhar "was supported on the platform by [...] Lady Brooks, Miss Mina Davidson (secretary), and others" at the annual meeting. 4) Wharfdale Habitation: Mrs. Fawkes presides over a meeting and laments the sudden death of the Habitation's Ruling Councillor. 5) Weston Habitation: "The Countess of Bradford delivered a brief address" of welcome and thanks. 6) City of London Habitation: Mentions Mrs. Ellison giving an address.
