Abstract
Mrs. Stopes gave a lecture on "Psychological, Physiological, and Physical Aspects of Dress" at a meeting of the British Association at Newcastle, which was deemed "the most interesting feature of the day's proceedings." In it she addressed several faults in contemporary women's clothing, such as crinolines, the length of dresses or high heels. The lecture was followed by a lively discussion with women from the audience.
