1) Lady Robinson, "a capital speaker," spoke at Olney, commenting on "the Liberal 'Unionists'" and Joseph Chamberlain. 2) "Mrs. Ormiston Chant will preach at the Metropolitan Tabernacle (Rev. C.H. Spurgeon's) on Sunday evening." 3) "Mrs. Ernest Day, Mayoress of Worcester, read a paper at the Congress of the Sanitary Institue in that city entitled 'Woman as a Helpmate in Sanitary Reform." 4) "Miss Cobden recently gave a lecture in a Sussex town on 'Reminiscences of her visit to Irleand.' Thre was a large attendance of ladies, who were 'specially invited.'"
