Women's Suffrage at Wisconsin: "The annual meeting was presided over by Rev. Olympia Brown. Miss Kate Pier spoke; she is the young lady whose recent appearance before the Supreme Court of Wisconsin attracted attention, as she was the first woman to plead a case before the Supreme Court."
